Welcome to the park store, located in the day-use area of one of the most popular State Park public beaches in Michigan! The South Higgins Lake State Park is the favorite go-to beach of many vacationers and locals alike in Northen Michigan. The day-use area of the park features a large boat launch basin, nearly a half mile of prime beach & swimming area, family picnicking & playgrounds, interpretive hiking trails, large pavilions for group gatherings, easy parking for over 600 vehicles, and of course the centerpiece- the landmark historical park store.
