Shook’s Marina is located on beautiful Lake Hiwassee just 11 miles from downtown Murphy, NC. This lake is a world class fishing destination that has produced many state record fish. We are also home to the second largest WORLD RECORD striped bass ever caught in fresh water. We have a boat ramp to launch your boat or rent one of ours for the day.
We have pontoon boats you can rent for up to 10 people for a leisurely cruise on the lake. Do you just want to fish? We have fishing boats available and we rent fishing poles. For a more active day on the lake you can rent canoes, kayaks, or paddleboats. Spend the day swimming, snorkeling, picnicking, fishing. The lake has plenty of sandy beaches and private coves where you could see bald eagles, otters, turkeys, deer and maybe a bear. We have daily, weekly, or monthly boat slips available. Our store offers drinks, snacks, bait, gas, and ice.
