Operating in Matlacha since 1992, Gulf Coast Kayak has a long standing reputation in the community (20+years)! We are family owned and operated, avid outdoor enthusiasts who’s mission is to promote paddle sports safety and environmental stewardship through education and outreach. We believe in building community partnerships through meaningful participation and engagement and are active members of the Society for Ethical Eco Tourism (SEE), Florida Paddling Trail Association (FPTA) and American Canoe Association (ACA)
Whether you’re visiting us from Fort Myers, Cape Coral, or Pine Island, you will enjoy close viewing of birds and marine life while on our Kayaks and Paddle Boards. Seniors and families are welcome & no experience is necessary! We offer guided kayak and paddle board tours and kayak & paddleboard rentals for first-timers to advanced paddlers.

Discover numerous mangrove islands and waterways previously fished by the Calusa over 1000 years ago! Both Pine Island Sound and Matlacha Pass Aquatic Preserve are guided kayak tourfamous for their shallow grass flats averaging 1-4 feet in depth and home to a variety of Marine Life and Birds. While exploring part of the Great Calusa Blueway Paddling Trail , a 190-mile marked paddling trail along the coast of Lee County Florida, you may encounter Dolphins, Manatee, Stingray, Spotted Eagle Rays, Sea Turtles, Great Blue Herons, Osprey and Bald Eagles just to name a few!
