Palm Gardens Restaurant and Marina on the Dead River, connecting the Harris Chain of Lakes and in Central Florida is many things. A fish camp, a marina, a restaurant. But more than that, it’s a place to gather together with friends and family in that beautifully timeless “Old Florida” atmosphere; surrounded by tall breezy palms and lots of shade on the Dead River connecting the beautiful Dora Canal, Lake Harris, and Lake Eustis.
Besides a beautiful and shady place to relax, we offer RV lot rental, access to a public boat ramp, pontoon boat rentals, bait & tackle, and much more. We sell non-ethanol marine fuel for your boat and of course, carry all the other standard amenities for your coolers such as cold beer, soft-drinks, bottled water, and snacks. We have everything you need to enjoy the river; just bring your boat, rent one of ours or call ahead to schedule a tour with Captain Ray of Native Boat Tours to depart from our marina and tour the beautiful Dora Canal- Call 352-223-1806 to schedule.
Have lunch on the deck, enjoy our weekend raw bar, or come out for dinner! No matter what meal you’re having, you can enjoy the view of our beautiful river.
Driving Directions: By car, we are located at the base of the bridge right on the river between Leesburg and Tavares off Highway 441 close to Mount Dora and just minutes away from other central Florida attractions. When entering the park, follow to the 2 story building and park between the palm trees or in front of the river.
1661 Palm Gardens St. Tavares, FL (Our driveway is between the Dollar General and the bridge.) Enter safely and keep to the right all the way down towards the river.
